Life is full of important decisions that can change your future trajectory. Committing to going back to school for an advanced degree is a perfect example. It is an investment of time, money and sacrifice. The engineering mindset for making important decisions is to consider all factors thoroughly. You will find the following information useful as you sort through your options and choices. The University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering offers a Master’s in Engineering Management designed for working professionals. The program is administered by Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE).
In late August, the newest cohort of Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE) students pursuing master’s degrees in engineering management, software engineering and mechanical engineering launched into learning mode. Approximately 50 students attended the orientation, which included a Q&A with Cockrell School of Engineering Dean Roger Bonnecaze.
Sivajee is pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering (Engineering Management) degree and is currently enrolled in the fast-track, full-time program. As part of the curriculum, students have the option to complete a one-semester internship course. Over the summer of 2024, Sivajee participated in an internship at Monolith AI.

In early March, Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE) master’s students took advantage of a networking opportunity with Torc Robotics, an autonomous vehicle company focused on long-haul trucking. Torc is actively recruiting engineers and spent time talking with TxEEE students about full-time positions and internship opportunities.
For almost 20 years, the annual Cockrell School Forensics Engineering Conference has convened forensics engineering experts from companies and academia to tackle real-world case studies from all angles – structural, ethical and financial.

On July 1, 2023, I celebrated my one-year anniversary as TxEEE’s executive director, and what an exciting year it has been. Reflecting on the past year and looking to the future, there are both challenges and opportunities that I face in leading and growing TxEEE.
